Central Steam Power Plant – May 2007
Central Steam Power Plant in Fitchburg, MA was a great place to explore. It was always a reliable, interesting place to bring explorers visiting from other states or to go when you wanted to take some photos but didn’t want to deal with a big hassle. The entrance was simple but not necessarily obvious if you didn’t know to look for it, and it remained open for years. Unfortunately, the plant has been demolished, but it has certainly been well documented over the years and will be missed.
These shots are from my very first trip. I’ve grouped subsequent visits by year so there are enough shots to make a decent sized set, but I explored this place about 9 times over the years, and shot a model here to round out 10 trips.
